Mr. Büyüksağnak Receives Students from the Bulgarian Sunday School

Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), received a delegation of students and teachers from the Bulgarian Sunday School, accompanied by Mr. Krasimir Tsenovski, Counsellor of the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Istanbul, on 27 February 2026 at his office.

The visit took place within the framework of the traditional 1 March Welcoming Spring celebrations in Bulgaria. On this occasion, the students presented martenichkas—traditional symbols of the arrival of spring in Bulgarian culture—which they had prepared by hand in advance.

During the meeting, issues related to strengthening cultural cooperation and further enhancing the friendly relations between the two communities were discussed.
