Working Meeting with the Diplomatic Missions of the Turkic Republics

A working meeting was held at the Turkic World Cultural District with the diplomatic representatives of the Turkic Republics in Istanbul, in cooperation between the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Foreign Relations Department and Kültür Inc. Co. The meeting was attended by IMM Deputy Secretary General Ms. Zeynep Neyza Akçabay, IMM Head of the Foreign Relations Department Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, General Manager of Kültür Inc. Co. Mr. Osman Cenk Akın, as well as the Consulates General of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, together with the Representative Office of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation in Türkiye and the Representative Office of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, efforts regarding the revitalization and restoration of the Turkic World Cultural District were discussed, with a focus on cooperation opportunities among local governments and the strengthening of our shared cultural heritage. The program continued with a site visit following the meeting, during which on-site assessments were made and mutual information was exchanged.
