Tirana Takes Over The Presidency Of The B40 Network

Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mayor of Istanbul, attended the third summit of the “B40 Balkan Cities Network”, of which he is the Founding President, in Tirana. Speaking at the summit, which was also attended by Albanian President Bajram Begaj, Imamoğlu said, “We started in November 2021 with 23 mayors in Istanbul, planting the seeds of cooperation and dialogue in the Balkans. Since then, we have become a big family of 55 people.” “We live together in an important and critical region,” İmamoğlu said, “I believe that through this summit we will identify common problems and take important steps towards making our cities resilient and healthy. The prosperity of our common future depends on sustainable solutions, digital transformation, prioritizing young people, healthy citizens and strengthening local democracy.”
