Shenzhen Municipality Visits Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for the First Time

On 22 April 2024, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality hosted officials and senior executives from Shenzhen, a rising, global high-technology hub. This meeting, marking the first contact between the municipalities of Istanbul and Shenzhen, presented an opportunity for building friendly relations and determining areas of cooperation between the two cities. In addition to sharing information and experiences on various topics such as tourism, infrastructure, smart city planning, disaster and crisis management, the participants also exchanged opinions on the needs and future visions of both metropolises.
