Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu held diplomatic and financial meetings in Berlin

Ekrem İmamoğlu, President of UMT and IMM, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of State for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Minister of Finance of the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin, the capital of Germany, and met with the executives of the employers’ organization BDI. Imamoğlu made his evaluation about the meetings with the following words: ‘Since I attended meetings as both the Mayor of Istanbul and the President of UMT, we held talks on local governments of Türkiye benefiting from funds at the highest possible rate, relations and funds concerning the European Union, as well as the resources we can create regarding Germany, and the grounds for cooperation. Of course, from the intensely discussed visa issue to other topics, we talked about how all cities, especially our city, can find grounds for cooperation through diplomacy with Germany, with which we have very extensive relations, through German cities and Turkish cities.”
