Mr. Büyüksağnak Represented IMM at G-NETS High-Level Officials Meeting in Tokyo

Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of the Foreign Relations Department, represented Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) at the Senior-Level Officials Meeting of the “Global City Network for Sustainability (G-NETS)”, which the IMM is involved in. Held in Tokyo between 7–9 May 2025, the event brought together representatives of 57 other leading cities in the field of sustainability.

Representing IMM, Mr. Büyüksağnak served both as speaker and session moderator during the meeting’s thematic session titled “Child and Senior Oriented Policies.” In his remarks, Mr. Büyüksağnak introduced IMM’s social policies, sharing Istanbul’s practices as a child and senior-oriented city.

The meeting, organised by Tokyo Metropolitan Government, was not only limited to technical presentations but also included a visit to SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, one of Asia’s largest global startup conferences.
