Mr. Büyüksağnak Hosts Mayor of Etulia, Ms. Natalia Popova

Mrs. Natalia Popova, Mayor of Etulia – a municipality in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, Republic of Moldova – was welcomed by Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of Foreign Relations Department at Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on April 17, 2025.

Mr. Kazım Taylan Sever, Head of the IETT Department of Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, was also present at the meeting. The discussions focused on the bus that the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality intends to donate to the town of Etulia. Key topics included the vehicle’s technical specifications, maintenance and servicing protocols, customs procedures, and training for relevant personnel.

It was highlighted that the bus would primarily be used to ensure safe and accessible transportation for children.

The visit concluded with mutual expressions of goodwill and a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between the parties.
