Deputy Consul General Beat Schmid from the Consulate General of Switzerland visited Dr. Hüseyin Sert, Director of EU Relations, in his office. Akın Özkardaş and Murat Eryılmaz from the Directorate of EU Relations also took part in the meeting. Beat Schmid stated that he served as Acting Consul General until the appointment of the new Consul General of Switzerland in December 2019 and wished Dr. Hüseyin Sert success in his new position. Deputy Consul General Schmid stated that they were currently organizing ‘Swiss Days’ events in cooperation with Şişli Municipality and that they would like to organize events including cultural activities to promote Swiss folk culture in cooperation with IMM. Beat Schmid also emphasized that they would like to organize a street film festival in Istanbul. In this context, possible collaborations with IMM were discussed.
