ISTANBUL TULIP RETURNED TO ITS HOMELAND

3 December 2021

The ‘Istanbul Tulip’, which originated in Istanbul and was found and reproduced by Dutch researchers centuries later, has reached its homeland. The symbolic planting of 1000 Istanbul Tulips, which were presented to IMM by Arjen Uijterlinde, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Istanbul, was held in Emirgan Grove with the participation of Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. During the planting, Imamoğlu and Uijterlinde were accompanied by a little child named Hüma İnal, who celebrated her 4th birthday.
