IMM Delegation Attends 4th International Architecture and Construction Forum “Kazanysh”

The capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, Kazan hosted the 4th International “Kazanysh” Architecture and Construction Forum from February 6 to 8, 2025. The event, organized with a BRICS-focused perspective, welcomed 11,000 visitors from 23 countries. Representing Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Gürkan Akgün, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, and Head of Planning and Urbanization Department Mr. Ramazan Gülten participated in the forum.

Mr. Akgün delivered a speech during the opening session of the forum, while Mr. Gülten participated as a speaker in various panels within the scope of the event. As part of the visit, the IMM delegation paid a visit to Mr. Uğur Yılmaz, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Kazan, and also met with Mr. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, as well as Mr. Gazinur Bakirov, Aide to the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan for International Relations. Throughout the visit to Kazan, Mr. Ayrat Gataullin, Representative of the Russian Federation Republic of Tatarstan to the Republic of Turkey, accompanied our delegation.

During the event, the IMM delegation held various meetings to strengthen international collaborations and enhance cultural relations. The forum, which focused on innovations in the fields of architecture and construction, provided a significant platform for experts from different countries to share their experiences.
