IMM and the Delegation of EU to Türkiye co-hosted the ‘Europe Day’ celebrations

In collaboration with the Delegation of EU to Türkiye, IMM hosted, for the first time in its history, the Istanbul edition of the ‘Europe Day’ celebrations. Speaking at the celebration, which also served as a farewell event to the outgoing Ambassador Meyer-Landrut, Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mayor of Istanbul said, “Are we going to stay silent once again as Israel rejects yesterday’s ceasefire offer and launches a military operation into the city of Rafah, where 1.5 million Palestinians took refuge? I urge Europe and all nations that uphold humanitarian values to intervene in order to put an end to this vicious cycle of violence. The atrocities unfolding in Gaza are a grim chapter in human history, and we cannot allow them to persist any longer.”
