IMM Acting Mayor Nuri Aslan Meets with Consuls General in White Mansion

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Acting Mayor Nuri Aslan met with foreign mission chiefs and representatives serving in Istanbul as part of the “Meeting with Diplomatic Missions Program”. Delivering the opening speech at the event, which was attended by 39 consuls general and 8 representatives of diplomatic missions, Mr. Aslan highlighted the importance of international cooperation in various topics. In his speech, Mr. Aslan emphasized several diplomatic initiatives led by Mayor İmamoğlu, including the “B40 Balkan Cities Network”, the “Mayors Summit for Peace and Cooperation in the Middle East and North Africa”, the “Mega Cities Summit”, and the “Türkiye-Germany Sister Cities Summit”. He underlined the success achieved in international diplomatic engagement through these efforts. Concluding his remarks, Mr. Aslan stated, “We will continue to uphold and advance the multilateral, peace-oriented, and human-centered diplomacy vision initiated by our Mayor İmamoğlu, with the same faith and determination.” He also expressed his hope that this meaningful gathering would pave the way for many more constructive steps in the future.
