GRANT PROGRAMME: Black Sea Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Program

OBJECTIVE: The mitigation of the effects of urban concretization, the incorporation of sustainable green spaces into the city, the enhancement of public participation, and the implementation of monitoring and awareness activities for climate change adaptation.

Project activities, within the scope of the project, design materials that ensure the sustainability of the planned parks will be developed. As part of the monitoring efforts, regular air, water, and soil measurements will be conducted, and the effects of green spaces on the city and neighborhood units will be analyzed through measurements carried out in the parks and their surroundings. Awareness activities will include both on-site and remote events for users of all ages. During the measurements, digital twins of the parks will be created, and the heat island effects in both the parks and their densely urbanized surroundings will be examined. Based on these measurements, a comprehensive comparative analysis and impact assessment will be conducted with cities located in the Black Sea Basin.
