EU Relations Director Dr. Ali DOĞANAY and EU Relations Deputy Director Akın ÖZKARDAŞ attended the meeting. At the 4th Local Steering Committee Meeting held to discuss the progress in project implementation and the experiences gained so far, the IMM Environmental Protection and Control Department informed about IMM’s activities within the scope of the project to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase resilience to the effects of climate change.

The EU for Energy Transition: Covenant of Mayors in the Western Balkans and Turkey aims to combat climate change. It will support the energy transition in the Western Balkans and Turkey for Climate and Energy through greater adoption of the Mayors’ Charter and support municipal authorities to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and increase resilience to the impacts of climate change.
