Ekrem İmamoğlu Hosted the Mayor of Ramallah

Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mayor of Istanbul, hosted Issa Raja Kassis, Mayor of Ramallah. Emphasizing their support for the rightful struggle of the Palestinian people in the face of Israel’s heavy assault, İmamoğlu underlined that they maintain the same sensitivity in Istanbul as well. İmamoğlu said, “We have contributed to Palestinian students living here and are monitoring their needs. We sent our aid trucks to Gaza. With these and similar actions, we will be ready to assist the Palestinian people in every matter of need.” Kassis, providing examples of the humanitarian tragedy experienced by Palestine, said, “We are doing our best to ensure our people continue to exist on this land. We are resisting to exist on this land. We do not want to die for our country; we want to live for our country. This is a very challenging situation from the perspective of local governments.”
