Under the coordination of TÜBİTAK, Sabancı University, and Fark Labs, and with the support of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Gaziantep University, and the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event titled “EIT Community Hub Türkiye Journey @Gaziantep: Innovation, Inspiration and Experience Sharing” was held in Gaziantep.

Akın Özkardaş, Deputy Director of the EU Relations, attended the event on behalf of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

During the event, which was organized within the framework of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), the ongoing activities in Türkiye were reviewed. As a member of EIT Urban Mobility—one of the EIT’s innovation communities operating under the Horizon Europe Programme and supporting start-ups, SMEs, entrepreneurs, universities, and local administrations—the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality closely follows EIT events to strengthen its position within the EIT ecosystem and to establish strong ties with Europe through innovative projects.
