Delegation from Tashkent Municipality Visits Foreign Relations Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality

A delegation led by Mr. Sanjar Shukhratovıch Tadjiev, Deputy Mayor of Tashkent, visited Istanbul between October 6–9, 2025, to benefit from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s experience in the field of tourism. As part of the visit, the delegation met with Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of Foreign Relations Department of IMM, on October 6, 2025. During the meeting, potential areas of cooperation between the two cities were discussed, and the importance of strengthening ties among the cities of the Turkic Republics was emphasized. It was also noted that the strong bonds between the brotherly peoples of Uzbekistan and Türkiye could be further deepened through partnerships established at the municipal level. Meanwhile, another delegation led by Mr. Rakhmonov Bakhtiyor Sultonovich, First Deputy Mayor of Tashkent, is scheduled to visit Istanbul between October 20–23, 2025, to exchange knowledge and experience in similar fields.
