Courtesy Visit of Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of the Foreign Relations Department, to the Consulate General of Canada in Istanbul

Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of Foreign Relations Department of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), paid a courtesy visit to Natalie Britton, Consul General of Canada in Istanbul, on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.

During the meeting, a general assessment was made of the existing relations between IMM and Canada-based institutions and organizations, while potential areas of cooperation for the upcoming period were also discussed.

The courtesy visit concluded with the exchange of mutual goodwill wishes and a shared understanding to maintain and further develop contacts in the period ahead.
