Concert at the Basilica Cistern

The compositions of Itrî and Johann Sebastian Bach, two great musicians representing Eastern and Western civilizations, were performed by the Ensemble Orient music group at the historic Basilica Cistern in a concert hosted by our Deputy Secretary General Ms. Zeynep Neyza Akçabay on 13 July 2023. Representatives of diplomatic missions based in Istanbul were invited to this event, which provided a unique musical feast to the participants and promoted the historic cistern after its extensive restoration.
