Collaboration Visit from the Greater London Authority to Istanbul

Mr. Mete Çoban, Greater London Authority Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy, visited Assoc. Dr. Pelin Alpkökin, Deputy Secretary General, and Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of Foreign Relations Department.

During the meeting with the visiting Vice Mayor, who was accompanied by Mr. Fevzi Donat, President of the Van Associations Federation, opinions were exchanged on how cooperation in the fields of environment and transportation could be strengthened, as well as the improvement of existing relations between London and Istanbul. Other topics discussed at the meeting were joint projects that could be carried out between C40, of which London Mayor Sadiq Khan is the co-chair, and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Türkiye’s only municipality that is a member of C40, and efforts for young people.
