AGENDA:

1. Possible collaborations that can be formed within the framework of European Union projects,
2. Discussing possible cooperation models.

MEETING NOTES:

• Academics from Bilgi University were informed about the projects they were working on. “Towards Sustainable Cities: Smart Park in Istanbul, System and Policy Development Project” carried out by Bilgi with the RDI fund. (https://smartpark.bilgi.org.tr/) was explained.
• IMM remarked that they established their cooperation with universities in EU projects based on taking universities as R&D partners.
• Muammer Ozbek from the Department of Civil Engineering explained their works that allow for damage detection and early repair after an earthquake.
• Fusun Servin Tut Haklidir stated that it is critical to establish local microgrids to ensure energy sustainability in a possible Istanbul earthquake.
• Dr. Ayse Uyduranoglu talked about her project on congestion charge and similar studies she will do in the next period.

DECISIONS AND ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN:

• Primarily, a collaboration will be explored within the scope of Horizon Europe Cluster 5 calls.
• If there is a project consortium in which both institutions can be involved__, the institutions will inform each other. Projects related to the university, BILGI TTO will be contacted via tto@bilgi.edu.tr. For projects related to IMM, the EU Relations Directorate will be contacted.
