Barbaros Büyüksağnak Receives Delegation from Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Global City Foundation

On June 11, 2025, Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Mr. Fahri Murat Tuncay, the Director of Foreign Relations, received representatives from the Metropolitan Municipality of our sister city Busan and the Busan Global City Foundation (BGCF). The meeting focused on the planned visit to Istanbul by South Korean youth and city representatives as part of “Eurasia Diplomatic Corps” program, which is to take place this September. In this context, the discussion also covered the prospect of commemoration events for Korean War veterans, cultural exchange activities, and the strengthening of institutional relations between the two municipalities.
