Education and Rehabilitation for Individuals with Dim Vision
GRANT PROGRAM: ISTKA (Istanbul Development Agency)
OBJECTIVE: In educational terms, individuals who can use or have the potential to use the sense of vision for learning purposes through functional vision studies or supporting optical and technological tools despite existing vision loss are called individuals with dim-vision. According to World Health Organization data, 80% of visually impaired people are dim-sighted. Individuals will make significant progress in their cognitive, physical, psychological, and social development if they are considered to be dim-sighted, even if they only have a sense of light, and are included in an appropriate intervention program from an early age.
