Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is Awarded in Two Categories by Golden Ant Awards 2022

The Golden Ant Award Ceremony 2022, organized by Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU) to award good practices and projects of municipalities (MBB), was held at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel on November 1, 2022. 49 projects were awarded in 10 different categories.
Since 2016, the aim of the Golden Ant, which is a system where good practices implemented by the member municipalities of the Union of Marmara Municipalities are rewarded, is to contribute to sustainable urban life with a high quality of life by rewarding successful projects implemented by municipalities to promote and disseminate good practice examples. Therefore, the Golden Ant does not reward municipalities, but the projects implemented by municipalities.
In Golden Ant 2022; 49 project teams were presented awards by MBB President Tahir Büyükakın in a total of 10 categories including Disaster Management, Smart City Applications, Climate Change and Environmental Management, Urban Architecture and Design, Urban Planning and Infrastructure, Culture and Arts, Social Services, Transportation and Mobility, Local Development, Governance and Participation.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality EU Relations Directorate coordinated the application of IMM projects; İSKİ won the first prize in the Disaster Management category with the project “Earthquake and Flood Risk Analysis” and İSTON won the first prize in the Urban Design and Architecture category with the project “Building Construction and Production of Concrete Elements with 3D Concrete Printing Technology”.
