OBJECTIVE: The project aims to develop an integrated artificial intelligence-based smart intersection management system that will reduce traffic congestion, greenhouse gas emissions, and time wasted in traffic, while also decreasing accidents and improving citizens’ quality of life. The project specifically addresses the “Future Mobility Challenge” of the EIT Urban Mobility innovation programme. In line with the requirements of this challenge, it proposes innovative artificial intelligence-based technologies to improve traffic flow, enhance citizen safety, and improve the user experience of both citizens and mobility service providers.
