AI-Based Smart Meter and Communication Technologies for Critical Infrastructures (AI-SMeCoT)
GRANT PROGRAM: ISTKA (ISTANBUL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY)
PURPOSE: Smart city applications are becoming widespread in many metropolises in the world. In this context, urban living spaces are becoming digital and many objects in the city are becoming interconnected. In Istanbul, where 6.1 million gas meters are managed, it is planned to update the gas network and make the meters smart. With the pilot study to be carried out within the scope of the project, real-time data flow will be provided by remote management of the meters. Remote management of meters will reduce the number of on-site personnel and service vehicles. Real-time data reading will enable problems such as load profiling, fraud detection, demand forecasting, and predictive maintenance to be solved with artificial intelligence.
