Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) applied for the “European Union (EU) for Energy Transition: Covenant of Mayors in the Western Balkans and Turkey” project under the “EUforEnergy” program in May 2021. With the project, the EU will provide consultancy services, technical assistance and capacity support to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality on the development of the “Sustainable Energy and Climate Plan” (SECAP).

PROJECT CONSULTANCY FROM LITHUANIA

Jūratė Lepardinienė, Deputy Director of the Central Project Management Agency (CPMA) from Lithuania, and Mehmet Alkanalka, Head of IMM Foreign Relations Department, signed the project agreement that will make a significant contribution to IBB’s sustainable energy vision. The signing ceremony took place under the coordination of IMM Foreign Relations Department’s EU Relations Directorate and was attended by officials from the Environmental Protection Directorate and Energy Management and Lighting Directorate.
