Visit of Mr. Büyüksağnak, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations, to the Consulate General of Malaysia in Istanbul

Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Ahmad Amiri Abu Bakar, Consul General of Malaysia in Istanbul, on 15 April 2026.

During the meeting held within the scope of the courtesy visit, the existing relations between Istanbul and Malaysia were discussed, and potential areas of cooperation—particularly in cultural and institutional fields—were evaluated. The parties reached a mutual understanding on enhancing bilateral contacts and developing concrete areas of cooperation.
