An EU Funds and Project Opportunities Information Meeting was organized at the Boğaziçi Culture and Arts Center (BKSM) belonging to Sarıyer Municipality, hosted by Sarıyer Municipality and coordinated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Department of Foreign Relations. Among the participants were Sarıyer Municipal Council Vice Chair Meltem Yücel Pir, IMM Head of the Department of Foreign Relations Barbaros Büyüksağnak, IMM EU Relations Director Dr. Ali Doğanay, deputy mayors of Sarıyer Municipality, as well as representatives from district municipalities in Istanbul, universities, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). During the meeting, EU Affairs Expert Ayşe Deniz Arıcan from the Istanbul Representation of the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a detailed presentation on the opportunities that local governments, universities, and NGOs can benefit from, including primarily the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), EU Union Programs, and Cross-Border Cooperation Programs. In the second session of the event, EU Affairs Expert Sinem Bölükbaşı İçöz, also from the Istanbul Representation of the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered an informative presentation on the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps Programme. The event concluded after a group photo session.
