IMM Head of Foreign Relations Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak Attends the “Ülke Sineması: Fransa” Programme

The Head of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Department of Foreign Relations  Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, attended the opening event of the “Ülke Sineması: Fransa” (Country Focus: France) programme held at IBB Beyoğlu Cinema on 9 January 2026.

Organised in cooperation with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the Consulate General of France in Istanbul, and the Institut Français in Istanbul, the programme opened with the screening of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, directed by Jacques Demy.

As part of the programme, significant works from different periods and genres of French cinema are expected to meet audiences at Beyoğlu Cinema throughout January.
