Visit of Mayor of Soma

Mr. Sercan Okur, Mayor of Soma (Manisa), visited Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM).

Mayor Okur stated that Soma Municipality aims to strengthen its international relations and make better use of funding and grant opportunities by benefiting from IMM’s knowledge and experience.

Mr. Büyüksağnak emphasized that the doors of the Foreign Relations Department are always open to Soma Municipality and assured that they are ready to provide all necessary support. During the meeting, in which possible areas of cooperation were discussed, both parties agreed on the preparation of a roadmap.
