Çubuklu Silos

AWARD PROGRAM: Marmara Municipalities Union Golden Ant Awards

EXECUTIVE UNIT: IMM Cultural Heritage Department Projects Directorate

PROJECT CATEGORY: Urban Design and Architecture

OBJECTIVE: With the awareness of its value in the memory of the city and its citizens, IMM Heritage transformed the long-abandoned Çubuklu Silos into a cultural, artistic, and social hub in 2024. The restoration, carried out in line with universal conservation principles, set an exemplary model for adaptive reuse on a global scale. The silos have been re-functioned with a contemporary interpretation to meet the city’s current needs, becoming a new center of culture, art, and life along the Bosphorus.
