10th Golden Ant Awards Found Their Owners

The Golden Ant Awards, which reward the inspiring projects of municipalities, were presented to their owners for the 10th time at a ceremony held at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul on December 12, 2024. While 55 projects from 40 municipalities were deemed worthy of awards in 10 categories ranging from climate change to culture and arts, from transportation to disaster management, the Jury Special Award went to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality with the Budget Istanbul project.

The Golden Ant Awards, organized by the Marmara Municipalities Union (MBB) for the 10th time this year, rewarded the innovative and inspiring projects of municipalities. The teams of 55 projects in a total of 10 categories, including Disaster Management, Smart City Applications, Climate Change and Environmental Management, Urban Design and Architecture, Culture and Arts, Social Services, Urban Planning and Infrastructure, Transportation and Mobility, Local Development, Governance and Participation, received their awards from MBB and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality received a total of 3 awards at the 10th Golden Ant Awards ceremony coordinated by the Department of External Relations. These awards were the “Çubuklu Silos” project of the Cultural Heritage Projects Branch Directorate in the Urban Design and Architecture category, the “Digital Twin Application for Sustainable Rail System Operation” project of Metro İstanbul A.Ş. in Smart City Applications, and the “Bütçem İstanbul” project of the Corporate Project Management Branch Directorate in the Governance and Participation category as the Jury’s Special Award.
