Hatay Academy Symphony Orchestra in Istanbul

On 16 February 2024, within the framework of the concert event hosted by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Istanbul and the Foreign Relations Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Hatay Academy Symphony Orchestra took the stage at the Consulate General building. The concert event was organised on the first anniversary of the earthquake disaster that devastated Turkey last year, in order to commemorate the people we lost.
Firstly, Mr. Barbaros Büyüksağnak, Head of Foreign Relations Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and Mr. Johannes Regenbrecht, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Istanbul, delivered speeches, followed by the Hayat Academy Symphony Orchestra, which took the stage and shared notes and lyrics from different cultures and languages with the guests. At the end of the concert event, which was also attended by the Consuls General and consular staff working in Istanbul, the Hatay Academy Symphony Orchestra expressed their gratitude to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, which has been present in Hatay since the first day of the earthquake and has supported them in every way. A gift brought from Antakya in regard to the meaning and significance of the day was presented to the Deputy Secretary General of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Ms. Zeynep Neyza Akçabay.
