İmamoğlu Met With EU Representatives at Working Dinner

Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mayor of Istanbul, got together with the EU Delegation to Turkey and the Ambassadors of EU Countries to Turkey at a working dinner. Addressing his guests at the meeting organized at Artİstanbul Feshane, İmamoğlu said, “Our world has entered a period of ‘multiple crises’ where problems are complex and continuous. Solutions can be found not in an authoritarian administration, but in a collaborative approach involving different stakeholders. How can we create inclusive public spaces and institutions where all actors can contribute? This is the question we need to ask.” Speaking about 60 years of Turkey-EU relations, İmamoğlu said, “Turkey’s EU journey has turned into a dead end… But Turkey is not the only reason why relations between Turkey and the EU have reached a freezing point today. It is time for the EU to change its perspective on Turkey as well.”
