The Local Action Session titled On the Way to Energy Transformation: Examples from the Western Balkans and Turkey, which aims to understand the importance of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Action Plan (SECAP) as a strategic document and the power of local governments in climate actions, was held on October 4, 2023, within the scope of MARUF2023, at the Istanbul Congress Center.

The session, where Central Project Management Agency (CPMA) Deputy Director Jūratė Lepardinienė made the opening speech, focused on the importance of effective change in the fight against climate change. Dubravka Bosnjak from the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) talked about the power of local governments in directing climate actions. In his speech, Daiva Matonienė from the Central Project Management Agency mentioned that SECAP is of vital importance as a strategic document.
