52nd Anniversary Reception Of The Cyprus Peace Operation Held At Artistanbul Feshane

A special reception was held at Artİstanbul Feshane on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation and 20 July Peace and Freedom Day.
Organized to mark the 52nd year of the Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle for existence and freedom, the program began with the gathering of the protocol delegation, veterans, and guests at ArtIstanbul Feshane.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nuri Aslan, Acting Mayor of Istanbul, stated that the Cyprus cause holds an exceptional place in the collective memory of the Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He stated that IMM remains firmly committed to maintaining its cooperation with municipalities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Mr. Nuri Aslan read the message from Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Elected Mayor of Istanbul, which emphasized that the cause of the Turkish Cypriot people is Türkiye’s cause.
Later in the program, a plaque was presented to Mr. Nuri Aslan, Acting Mayor of Istanbul, in recognition of the meaning and significance of the day.
At the reception, the historical, humanitarian, and strategic importance of the Cyprus Peace Operation was commemorated once again, while the deep-rooted solidarity between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was emphasized.
